So you want to join the Wandering-Star family? Sure! But you have to read below. If you still feel confident about it, please contact me. I prefer e-mail because it's so much easier to handle then using IM. I forget.

  • You have to link Wandering-Star back.
  • Nothing illegal! (such as racism, porn, mp3s, etc)
  • I don't know which programs are dangerous but I don't want anything I don't recognize on my server. The following are the ones I definatly recognize as being safe:
    • CuteNews
    • phpMail
    • Dodo's Mail
    • Javascript
    • Wordpress (I can install it for you!)
    • Media Wiki (I can install it for you!)
    • phpBB Forums (I can install it for you!)
    The only exception to this rule is if you show me how it works and explict material where it says it's safe.
  • Please, please, please do not steal from anyone! Credit everything and everyone! I don't want anyone e-mailing me saying that you had stolen something without proper credit. If something like that happens, I'll be forced to delete your site without warning.

Requirements

  • You must know FTP. I really have no time to teach people how to use it.
  • Decent layout skills. Show me an example if you wish.
  • Talk to me every once in a while. I don't really like giving my space out to strangers.

  • Type of Site: What kind of site do you want hosted?
  • Sub Domain Name: What name do you want appear on the url? (http://your-subdomain-name.wandering-star.net)
  • FTP Username: What username do you want to use? (your-username@wandering-star.net)
  • FTP Password: What password would you like to access your sub-domain?
  • MySQL?: Do you need MySQL?
      If yes...
    • Database: Database name
    • Password: Password you want.
